Editorial and Evidence Policy
Evidence standard
Every published fact must meet at least one of the following before it appears on this site:
- A current official store page, developer announcement, or platform announcement is confirmed and linked.
- A reproducible hands-on test is logged with date, platform, and game version.
No fact is published because it appears plausible, because a competitor published it, or because search demand suggests it should be true.
Current-version rule
Gameplay facts are only published for the current version available at the time of writing. For Tears of Metal, that means the July 22, 2026 Early Access launch build and later.
The older demo is explicitly labelled as outdated. Demo-specific facts from videos, streams, or community posts cannot support current-version claims — TOM-009.
Hands-on testing
Hands-on testing means actually playing the game and recording what was observed. Testing is logged with:
- The platform and game version.
- The specific action or feature tested.
- The date of the test.
- A description of what was observed versus what was expected.
No hands-on testing has yet been conducted for Tears of Metal. When it is, the testing backlog on this site will be updated accordingly.
Update policy
When an official update changes a published fact:
- The relevant page is updated with the new fact and a new checked date.
- The old fact is removed or relabelled rather than left contradicting the new one.
- A new evidence record is created linking the updated fact to its official source.
This site does not automatically track live store data, pricing, or availability. Players are always directed to recheck official sources before relying on launch-day details.
What this guide will not publish

- Walkthrough steps, boss strategies, or map routes — no hands-on testing.

- Unverified images, screenshots, or media reused without confirmed rights.
